Year 10 Hanham Woods Academy student Ryan Fisher has just been crowned Spring Junior Championship winner at Teamsport Karting in Avonmouth. Currently ranked number one at the centre, Ryan also holds the lap record of 36.622s.
Racing from the age of 10, Ryan competes for the Shrekers or Wreckers at Teamsport Avonmouth. Ryan will also be taking part in the Southern Rental Kart Championships this year, the premier rental kart championship in the South of England, racing at fantastic tracks over seven months.
Next month Ryan will also be competing for the British Indoor Karting Championship, which includes all the British TeamSport competitors. Ryan previously made it to the semi-finals of this event!
Ryan, who has also just secured his first sponsorship with Matt’s Place Barbers, Hanham, said: “I would like to thank my family for their encouragement and support over the years I have been karting, without them I could not do this. I would also like to thank Matt’s Place for sponsoring and believing in me.”

Since 2009 the CLF has developed from a small Bristol-based secondary education partnership to an instinctively collaborative ambitious organisation of over 20 schools, serving the educational needs of over 12,000 children and young people aged 3 to 19.
