Following careful analysis of information from the UK Met Office, the UK Health Security Agency, and our own school site data, schools will be open on Friday 26th June.
Temperatures are forecast to fall by Friday and are expected to be significantly cooler than earlier this week. However, we recognise the potential risks associated with sustained higher temperatures over recent days, and for this reason we will be implementing a number of additional control measures to mitigate them.
These will include early ventilation of the school buildings, temporary adjustments to uniform expectations, and a continued focus on ensuring everyone remains well hydrated, with ready access to drinking water throughout the day.
Our thanks to all parents and students for their understanding and support during what has been a dynamic and challenging situation, and we look forward to seeing all children back in school on Friday.
