Becoming a CLF Academy

Home » Our Academies » Becoming a CLF Academy

With the support of the Department for Education, the Cabot Learning Federation is well placed to grow.

We are looking for schools to join us who have a likeminded vision for the future of the children and young people in their care. We are especially interested in hearing from schools who are supporting children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our Trust is a true partnership, and we will learn and benefit from you as much as we will provide support, guidance and expertise to your school.

If you are a maintained school, a single academy trust or another multi academy trust, we are ready to embark on the next stage of our Trust’s development – we hope you will join us on our journey.

Our Cabot Learning Federation collective mission has always been to consistently deliver excellent educational experiences for our pupils, aged 3-19, improving their life chances and serving the communities of which we are a member.

We believe that by working together rather than in isolation we can accelerate school improvement and embed excellence in our academies. Together, we can create more opportunities for the lifelong success of our students as they become young adults.

    Julie Fox - Principal
As soon as we were committed to joining the CLF, we were made very welcome and felt part of the family of CLF academies. For example, I started to attend the Federation’s Leadership Forum meetings immediately.

  • Broadoak Academy

    Kathleen McGillycuddy - Principal
Having now been in the Trust for a number of years, the benefits of centrally provided expertise in finance, safeguarding, Health & Safety, HR and IT has meant we are able to ensure good practice in all these areas in our academy, thereby providing good value for public money as well as release the educationalists on our senior team back into education and school improvement.

  • Uphill Village Academy

    Sam Hodder - Principal
One year on and I can honestly say it has been the best move we could have made. Best for our children and families, our staff and our local community. The central services team provide expert and timely support meaning that as a Principal I have more time to concentrate and focus on what really matters; delivering a first-class education and building a cohesive school community.
