Training and Development

We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for newly qualified and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute.

Pension Scheme

All new staff in teaching roles will automatically become a member of the Teachers Pension Scheme, and new staff within professional support roles will automatically become a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme (if eligible). Childcare Vouchers

Participation in the Childcare Voucher Scheme, free of tax and national insurance. This scheme works by converting taxable pay to tax free childcare vouchers, savings are dependent on your level of earnings and tax bracket.

Childcare Discounts

Working with some nursery providers local to our Academies, we have secured discounted rates for staff.

Cycle to work scheme

Employees are eligible to request a bicycle purchase loan up to the value of £1,000 through the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme.

Annual Leave

We provide a generous annual leave entitlement for all of our staff. Details of specific annual leave entitlements for roles advertised will be provided within the recruitment process.

Employee Assistance Programme

The Federation is committed to supporting staff wellbeing. We partner with specialist provider, Health Assured, to offer a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme to all employees. This service includes access to:

  • A 24/7 free phone helpline 365 days per year to access in the moment support, whether that be for emotional, financial, legal or other lifestyle matters
  • Structured telephone or face-to-face counselling where further support is required
  • A wealth of well-being and health resources via the online health portal and app

Flu Jabs

All staff are provided with the opportunity to receive a flu jab the cost of which is reimbursed (up to an agreed value).

Exercise and Wellness

We provide exercise and wellness sessions at some Academies which is accessible to all staff regardless of their base. We have also secured discounts for staff at a number of gyms in the local area.
