The Cabot Learning Federation’s Gloucestershire cluster is a growing group of schools within the broader CLF family. Tewkesbury Academy, Queen Margaret Primary Academy and Brook Academy include primary, secondary and alternative education phases.

Like all CLF schools, they share a firm commitment to academic excellence and inclusive learning environments.

Our schools provide educators with an opportunity to shape young lives to have a positive influence on the world. Each school is dedicated to playing a leading role in the future of education in Gloucestershire by providing transformative experiences that empower students to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Life in Gloucestershire

Made up of the three areas of the Forest of Dean, Severn Vale and the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire is home to beautiful and varied countryside, with a range of villages, towns and the City of Gloucester as urban centres.

With two universities in the University of Gloucester and the Royal Agricultural University, as well as a number of colleges and centres linked to the University of West of England, there are a range of progression routes for children studying in the county’s schools.

Gloucestershire is characterised by its many and varied historic homes, gardens and the royal residences of Highgrove, Gatcombe Park and Nether Lypiatt Manor. Tewkesbury Abbey boasts the tallest Norman tower in England and dates back to the 1500s, joining Gloucester Cathedral and Cirencester Church as some of the most prominent religious architecture in the county.

As an agricultural centre, Gloucestershire is the home to a range of conservation projects supporting wildlife and rare breeds, for example Slimbridge Wetlands Centre and Cotswold Farm Park.

Culturally there are a range of local and regional festivals and events throughout the calendar that highlight Gloucestershire life, ranging from circus to poetry to jazz, as well as high-class visiting acts at the Everyman, The Bacon, The Roses and the Guildhall theatres.

With a broad and diverse range of amenities and pursuits, Gloucestershire understandably appeals to many different types of people, offering a great standard of living to families and providing endless intrigue to those with an interest in the quirky and the offbeat: Gloucestershire claims the UK’s longest train platform, biggest ice cream factory and largest stained glass window, a network of drystone walls that is the same length as the Great Wall of China and, to date, the most eco-friendly and only vegan football club in the world.
