My whole professional career has been in education. When I retired as a Bristol Secondary Headteacher, I became an Education Consultant, working with colleagues on school improvement projects, writing and delivering workshops on a number of different topics including Leadership Development and Effective Behaviour Management and undertaking investigations centred around HR issues. I have been closely associated with the Cabot Learning Federation since 2012 when, as chair of the governing body of a local primary school joining the CLF, I was invited by Sir David Carter to sit on the Board as a Director. As well as being a trustee I have chaired three different Academy Councils, and sat on an extensive number of panels. This has enabled me to become very familiar with the culture and ethos of the federation and to play a significant role in overseeing the promotion of the environmental agenda and the mental health and well-being of all members of our community. I am delighted to take up this role for another term of office with the link role of Safeguarding and SEND and continue to remain totally committed to improving the life chances and choices of all our students.
