I joined the CLF Board in 2026, and I am already looking forward to learning from colleagues while bringing the distinctive perspective of a Bristol-born alumna who attended City Academy, Bristol. At 29, I am one of the youngest trustees, brought on to amplify recent alumna voices and represent the communities the Trust serves – including those who, like myself, experienced under-privilege. This is deeply personal; I am excited to give back to the city and system that raised me, and to ensure that the voices of current students and their families are genuinely heard in the boardroom.
By day, I am a Technology Development Lead at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, working at the forefront of fusion energy research. I lead the technology development for a major in-vessel system within the STEP programme – the UK’s ambitious design for a first-of-a-kind fusion power plant. My work involves coordinating cross-functional teams, driving innovation in advanced materials and manufacturing, and generating intellectual property that pushes the boundaries of what is technically possible. I also identify and mitigate complex technical risks, ensuring that cutting-edge designs meet the demanding requirements of a fusion environment. I bring that same analytical rigour and systems-thinking approach to CLF’s audit and risk functions.
I am passionate about connecting classroom learning with real-world STEM careers, and I believe that every child, regardless of background, deserves real choices and opportunities. I am committed to playing my part in making that a reality.
