I have a strong personal commitment to equity through education. I relocated from Sheffield (University of Sheffield) after taking up a post of Pro Vice Chancellor & Head of College: Business & Law, at UWE Bristol, October 22. What attracted me to UWE Bristol was its commitment to widening participation, inclusion and equity through education that creates choices and opportunities for all. The opportunity to make a difference.
In turn, I have been seeking the right civic opportunity to where I can make a difference and the opportunity to serve CLF excites me.
I have worked for the last 18 years within senior leadership roles with universities. I have led several strategic projects on behalf of universities executive boards, including developing and delivering growth areas, managing risk, significant change programmes as well as lead both the academic and administrative teams within the Business Schools. I have been the lead academic in collaborative projects that have brought together multiple universities, FE Colleges, and Industry around key regional development priorities.
Prior to that I have over 10 years of experience at Board level roles with multi-nationals and SMEs as Head of Finance, Head of Operations & Collaborative Partners, and Company Secretary.
