After an initial pilot scheme a couple of years ago, One Bristol Curriculum has been launched at City Academy, Bristol.
The One Bristol Curriculum project sees local arts practitioners and historians working together with schools and teachers to create a curriculum that integrates the full history of Bristol and the UK.
Reporter Laura Jones from BBC Points West visited City Academy, Bristol, to find out more about the One Bristol Curriculum and how it is taught, Laura spoke to staff and students.
Tom Fudge teacher at City Academy said, “In my opinion our students history is our schools history so we should be reflecting that back to what we teach them.”
