City Academy is incredibly proud to share that Year 9 student Lakhan Konsal appears as an extended extra alongside four-time Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan in the new feature film Bad Apples, which has now been released nationwide.
Lakhan is also credited as an actor in the feature film, appearing alongside an ensemble cast that includes Saoirse Ronan, Sean Gilder and Jacob Anderson.
Directed by Jonatan Etzler, Bad Apples stars Saoirse Ronan as Maria Spencer, a primary-school teacher in England whose class is disrupted by one particularly unruly ten-year-old pupil. Following a dramatic escalation of events, Maria kidnaps the boy and locks him in her basement.
Lakhan is a talented young actor currently attending drama school and building an exciting career across television, film, theatre and sports media.
He previously appeared in the BBC Tracy Beaker spin-off series The Beaker Girls, gaining valuable on-screen experience at an early stage of his acting career. He has also worked alongside the FA, featuring in football training videos and promotional content.
More recently, Lakhan has taken his talents to the West End in London, performing on stage and gaining valuable professional theatre experience. His growing range of work across television, film, theatre and commercial productions reflects his passion for performing and his commitment to developing his craft.
Appearing in a major feature-film production alongside an internationally recognised cast represents another fantastic achievement for Lakhan and provides valuable professional experience as he continues to develop his career in the performing arts.
