Fundraising for BBC Children in Need

Fundraising took place across the Federation for the very worthy cause that is Children in Need. Here is how two of our academies raised money.

Mr Steve O’Callaghan, Principal of Hanham Woods Academy was gunged by students! But it was all in a good cause, staff and students at the academy were raising money for BBC Children in Need. Students bought a raffle ticket for a £1.00 and the lucky winners got to gunge their Principal. Funds were also raised at a tuck shop pop-up at breaktime, £1.00 per bag. In total over £48.00 has been raised so far for this worthy cause, with money still coming in!

Bristol Metropolitan Academy have raised an amazing £815 for Children in Need with their non-uniform day. Their librarian, Mrs Harman made a beautiful Pudsey cake and organised their sponsored Big Read which will add to their total amount fundraised so far.
