Throughout the holidays, Snowdon Village offered students the opportunity to come along, catch up with friends and staff, and take part in a range of exciting activities — completely free of charge.
Students had the chance to try boxing at Empire Gym, experience padel at Padel4all, and get involved in football and basketball sessions at City Academy.
The variety of activities meant there was something for everyone, whether students were already passionate about sport or simply wanted to try something new.
The sessions gave the young people of Snowdon Village the opportunity to stay active, develop new skills and challenge themselves, while also building confidence, teamwork and positive relationships.
Most importantly, they provided a chance for students to have fun and enjoy themselves in a relaxed environment outside of the usual school routine.
It was fantastic to see students choosing to come along during their holidays and making the most of the opportunities available. There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughter and some fantastic effort from everyone who took part.
A huge thank you to Laurent David-Wilson and Derek Scale for organising and running these sessions throughout the summer. Their commitment, energy and enthusiasm helped make the programme such a success and gave our students some brilliant opportunities to get active, try new things and have fun.
A spokesperson from Snowdon Village said: “We would also like to thank the teams at Empire Gym, Padel4all and City Academy School for supporting the programme and helping provide such a fantastic range of activities for our students.
“For us, these holiday camps are about more than simply keeping students busy. They are about building relationships, creating opportunities and showing our young people that they belong and are valued — even when school is officially on holiday.
“We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and embraced the opportunities on offer.”
At Snowdon Village, the summer holidays may mean a break from lessons — but they certainly don’t mean a break from having fun!
