Uphill Village Academy is celebrating its sporting excellence after being awarded the prestigious School Games Gold Mark Award for the third year running.
The School Games Mark is a national award scheme that recognises schools for their commitment to the development of sport and competition, both within school and across the wider community.
The annual, government-led award from the UK’s Youth Sport Trust recognises schools that demonstrate significant dedication to promoting physical activity and competition through the School Games programme.
To secure the Gold Mark Award, schools must meet rigorous criteria, including participation in both intra-school and inter-school sport, promoting inclusive opportunities, developing pupil leadership, and encouraging young people to be active and try new activities.
Uphill Village Academy’s continued success reflects the school’s commitment to providing pupils with a wide range of opportunities to participate, compete and develop their confidence through sport.
