Waycroft Academy’s library has been transformed with a magnificent new mural, thanks to talented local artist Farrah Fortnam of Farrah Contemporary Art.
The striking artwork depicts a magical sea at night, featuring a lighthouse, boats and fish within a wonderful nighttime seascape.
The idea for the mural came from the school councillors during the previous academic year, who wanted to create an inspiring and imaginative piece of artwork for the library.
Farrah Fortnam brought their vision to life with an incredible mural that is already making a big impression.
The academy hopes the artwork will inspire the next generation of artists and encourage pupils to explore their own creativity and imagination.
A spokesperson for Waycroft Academy said: “We are absolutely delighted with our beautiful new library mural.
“The school councillors had a wonderful idea for a nighttime seascape, and Farrah has brought that vision to life in such a spectacular way. The lighthouse, boats and fish create a magical scene that we hope will inspire our pupils to dream big, be creative and perhaps discover a love of art themselves.
