Talented dance students from Winterstoke Hundred Academy (WHA) delivered outstanding performances at the North Somerset Festival of Dance, celebrating creativity, passion, and collaboration across the region.
The festival, which is not a competition but a showcase of dance schools from across North Somerset, took place at the magnificent Weston Playhouse Theatre.
WHA students from Years 7 through to Year 13 captivated the audience with two energetic and expertly choreographed pieces inspired by The Wizard of Oz and Maleficent.
Students have been in rehearsals for the festival since January, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, musicality, and dedication to bring their performances to life on stage.
The performances were met with warm appreciation from the audience, highlighting the strength and vibrancy of young dance talent within the local community.
Dance teacher Abbie Bartlett said: “We are incredibly proud of our students for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout this process.
“Performing at such a wonderful event and venue was a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talent and passion for dance. They truly did themselves and the academy proud.
“I would also like thank the parents and carers for being so massively supportive.”
