Students from Winterstoke Hundred Academy’s Eco-Club and Duke of Edinburgh Club, from Years 7 to 9, have participated in an exciting environmental initiative by helping plant a tiny forest.

Schools will help families to identify children with neurodivergent needs, such as autism and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), under a brand-new pilot scheme.

As part of the six-month pilot, 42 schools in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire will provide support for children’s needs as they wait for formal assessments.

The Sweaty Betty foundation has donated 50 sports hijabs to girls at City Academy Bristol with the aim of encouraging more girls to take part in sports.
