Barton Hill Amateur Boxing Club (ABC)’s home was sold by owners, Wellspring Settlement, in March leaving the club without a permanent base.

A 16-year-old student from Taunton is running 400km to raise money for Cancer Research UK after suffering a football injury.
Addison Davis, a Monkton Wood Academy student, sustained a serious knee injury during Bristol City’s under-16s’ training on October 28, 2024, the day before her 15th birthday.

Herons’ Moor Academy is proud to announce the launch of its newly formed pupil journalists’ newsroom, an initiative designed to give students hands-on experience in reporting, storytelling, and media production.
Principal Georgie Tinker spoke with Charlie Taylor, presenter at BBC Radio Somerset, to share how the project is helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. During the interview, she outlined the school’s commitment to offering creative opportunities that inspire curiosity and empower young people to have a voice.

Frome Vale Academy has opened its brand-new kitchen space with the launch of a flagship culinary event delivered in partnership with local charity CRuNCH.
The new kitchen – designed and built by the academy’s Building Services Manager, Ricki Petchey – was brought to life through free labour generously provided by staff from Waterhouse, with Simon, Rubin and Cam all pitching in.

Bristol Bears Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) aimed at inspiring young people through the power of sport.
As part of this collaboration, a full-time member of Bristol Bears Foundation staff will be based at City Academy School five days a week, delivering programmes such as Brightsparks and Bear In Mind along with one-to-one mentoring and opportunities to play Rugby in a safe and supportive space.
