Pupils at Evergreen Primary Academy recently brought history to life by dressing up as Roman soldiers.
The immersive activity was part of their exciting project on the Romans, designed to help children deepen their understanding of what life was like for soldiers in the Roman Empire.
After marching, exploring Roman equipment, and learning about battle strategies, the pupils next task was to write about their findings and discoveries.
Inspired by their experiences, the children produced some fantastic pieces of writing that captured the strength, discipline, and daily life of Roman soldiers.
A spokesperson for Evergreen Primary Academy said: “We are incredibly proud of the creativity and enthusiasm our pupils have shown during this project.
“Dressing up and role-playing as Roman soldiers helped them connect with history in a meaningful and memorable way, and their writing really reflects the depth of their learning.”
This hands-on approach is part of Evergreen Primary Academy’s commitment to making learning engaging, enjoyable, and relevant, ensuring pupils not only gain knowledge but also the skills to express and share it confidently.
