Wear Red Day at Broadoak Academy

On Wear Red Day, Broadoak Academy proudly joins schools and communities across the UK in standing up against racism and promoting equality.

Organised by the charity Show Racism the Red Card, this national awareness day encourages everyone to wear red as a symbol of solidarity and commitment to challenging discrimination in all its forms.

The charity has worked with and supported Broadoak Academy for many years, so it is good to give back and raise awareness of this wonderful organisation.

At Broadoak, we believe in fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and kindness. Wear Red Day is an opportunity for our students and staff to reflect on the importance of standing together and speaking out against injustice.

Rose Hooke, Associate Assistant Principal for Culture said “Wear Red Day is more than just a colour — it’s a statement of unity.

“At Broadoak Academy, we are committed to building a culture where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.

“Today, we wear red to show that racism has no place in our school or our society.”
