As the new academic year commences, parents are being strongly encouraged to ensure their children return to school. Recent data has shown a significant increase in the number of children not attending school regularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, with Bristol experiencing some of the highest rates of absenteeism in the country.
Kate Richardson, Education Director at the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF), and Katherine Ogden, Principal of King’s Oak Academy, have both spoken about this important issue. Their interviews with BBC Radio Bristol highlight the importance of regular school attendance for children’s educational development and overall well-being.
