A Year 10 student from Hanham Woods Academy has achieved something truly remarkable after completing a demanding trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
Sam Pickett took on the once-in-a-lifetime challenge over the Easter holidays, reaching an altitude of around 5,350 metres after two weeks of trekking through some of the world’s toughest conditions.
